, join to work in the round, being careful not to twist your chain.
continue: Work in your stitch pattern for rounds.
thumb gusset Increase stitches for thumb gusset over rounds, then skip stitches for thumb. (See page 160 for more information on increasing evenly for the thumb gusset.)
continue: Work rounds in pattern.
thumb: Pick up stitches around thumb gusset and work rounds. Decrease for thumb tip.
fingers: Divide remaining hand stitches into 4 sections ( ÷ 4); use stitch markers to show divisions. (If you don’t get a whole number when dividing by 4, it’s always okay to rob 2 or 3 stitches from the pinkie to help even out the other fingers. See pages 161 and 164 for more on planning each finger.)
pinkie finger: Pick up stitches at opposite side of hand from thumb for pinkie finger and work rounds; decrease for tip of pinkie.
ring finger: Pick up stitches next to pinkie and work rounds; decrease for ring finger.
middle finger: Pick up stitches at opposite side of hand from thumb for pinkie finger and work rounds; decrease for tip of pinkie.
index finger: Pick up stitches next to middle finger and work rounds; decrease for index finger.
