The late Louise Riotte was a lifelong gardener and author of 12 books on gardening, companion planting, and garden lore, including the best-selling Carrots Love Tomatoes, with more than 600,000 copies in print. Her other titles include Roses Love Garlic, Astrological Gardening, Sleeping with a Sunflower, Catfish Ponds & Lily Pads, and Raising Animals by the Moon. All of her books feature her own line drawings. Riotte took pride in her garden near her home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She died in 1998 at the age of 89.
